EMPIRE is moving along at a steady pace and new things are happening every week. We have updated the site with some storyboard anamatics and a one minute overview of our progress. The one minute preview shows some early tests in visual effects and a breif overview of our creative process. Please check out the Story page to view our progess.

We are in the pitching phase of the project. Besides pitching and the business side of things, matte painting, compositing and early modeling is currently being done.

ARTISTRY & THESIS REVEW

Over the past week a considerable amount of work has been done. The Empire brief has been updated with over 30 new pages of information. Some of the information updated includes: creating the first paper costume, redoing the first commericial storyboards, adding some new shots of the handmade models, adding a lot of illustrations, logos and very early posters. Please check all of it out (24 mbs).

PHOTOSHOOT ONE

The site was updated. Today we make costumes! Check out the story page, we put up a short video that we took while attending a photoshoot for Empire. The video was shot with the Canon 5D MKII, we're going to have a lot more to update with next week. Drop us a line if you are interested in helping out!

PLANS UPDATED
February 6, 2010

The story page was updated with a new brief PDF that describes our influences, design direction and short descriptions of the meaning behind the campaign. The only thing missing from this current brief are detailed schematics about the machinary and fantastical elements that will be CG extensions of the hand-made models.

Besides the brief, a lot of networking was done this past week, I'm sure next week we'll have a lot to show you. Some test shots and a lot more models. Please contact us if you are interested in helping in any capacity.
